Florida insurance is one aspect of a successful business. Each business should be insured for any number of things, such as workplace injuries, emergencies, tragedies, and many more things that could happen. Business insurance can provide business owners with peace of mind and allow them to spend their time focusing on other more important things.

However, a business’s most valuable assets are its employees! It’s a known fact that employees are more productive when they are happy and committed to their job. We’ve compiled a few tips to make your business a great place to work!

• Hire the right people. Create a culture that is trusting, welcoming, inspiring and motivating. Hire people that you know will fit in. But make sure there’s diversity in the workplace. You should have a good mix of creative-types and analytical-types, younger employees mixed with those that have been in the workforce for many years.
• Make it fun. Let’s face it: work can be stressful! When you encourage your employees to have fun, you can alleviate some of that stress. Have summer Fridays, provide a company lunch once a month, or have theme days. Even if the idea is crazy, it can break up some of the monotony and stress and lead to a more productive company overall.
• Encourage a work/life balance. Remember that more hours do not necessarily mean more productivity. Time away from work will increase people’s energy and happiness, which will reflect in the workplace!
• Build a trusting environment. Don’t create a company culture in which your employees have to lie about being sick when they’re really hanging out with a friend. When your employees feel they can trust you (and you trust them), they’ll take less sick days, be happier to be at work, and be rock stars in the office!
